Gardaland Tickets: Which One to Buy and What It Costs

Gardaland tickets start at $50 for a fixed-date park day and $10 for the aquarium, and on a fixed-date, non-refundable ticket the small print matters more than the price. Below: the park day ticket, the aquarium, what children pay, the closed weeks, the Express fast track and the shuttle from Peschiera. The rides themselves are on the Gardaland guide, the rest of the lake on things to do in Lake Garda.

Quick answer One dated ticket, one height rule

A one-day Gardaland entry ticket costs $50 per person. It covers every ride and show in the park as many times as you like on the booked date only, and it is non-refundable. Children under 90 cm tall enter free, and so do dependent disabled visitors. The SEA LIFE Aquarium next door sells separately as an open-date ticket for $10. The park closes entirely from 2 November to 4 December.

Key takeaways

  • Buy the 1-day entry ticket only when your date is certain. It is valid just on the booked day, rain or shine, with no refund.
  • Measure the children before you book. Under 90 cm is free, and the three big coasters need 140 cm, as the Gardaland ride heights show.
  • Travelling with children? Pair the park day with the aquarium and see our Lake Garda with kids plan for the rest of the week.

Gardaland Tickets Compared

Three tickets, side by side: the park day ticket is the standard buy, the aquarium suits a rainy hour or toddlers too small for the coasters, and the Movieland option bundles a guided experience with admission at the second park on this shore. Card prices are the booking platforms' US-dollar listings.

Which Gardaland Ticket to Buy

Three purchases cover most visitors, and they solve different problems. Match the ticket to your date flexibility and your children's heights.

The Park Day Ticket

The 1-day entry ticket costs $50 per person and covers all rides, shows and themed areas, ridden as many times as you wish in the day. It is a fixed-date ticket, valid only on the date you book, and it is non-refundable. That includes rain: a wet day brings no refund, and a ride closed for maintenance brings no discount.

All taxes and fees are included. Rated 4.6 from 3,102 reviews. Before paying, check the opening hours for your date on the park's own site, since they vary through the season.

The SEA LIFE Aquarium Ticket

The open-date aquarium ticket costs $10 and works on any day of the season, which removes the weather and date risk. You reach the aquarium on foot from the park, so it fits easily before or after a park day. Inside are 40 themed pools with more than 5,000 creatures from about a hundred species, plus a transparent underwater tunnel with sharks and stingrays.

Admission runs until 1 hour before closing. Strollers stay outside in a covered store, and free baby carriers are offered for infants under 9 kg. It is non-refundable.

Water Park, Two Days and Evenings

LEGOLAND Water Park sits inside Gardaland Park and is entered only with a combo ticket or a supplement paid at the park. No price is posted for the supplement, so budget for it at the gate. Under-14s must be with an adult in the water.

The park also sells its own two-day tickets and evening tickets for Scary Fridays on its website, and a two-day option includes one aquarium day within 6 days. If a second park day appeals, compare our other Lake Garda tours as well.

What Children Pay

Gardaland prices by height, not by age, and the rules are simple once you know them.

Under 90 cm Enters Free

Children under 90 cm tall enter the park free and need no ticket at all. The same rule applies at the SEA LIFE Aquarium. Dependent disabled visitors also enter free without a ticket.

That makes the park unusually cheap for families with toddlers, though small children still need an adult with them at all times inside the gates. Bring a way to measure on the day if your child is close to the line.

Height Decides the Rides, Not the Ticket

Above 90 cm every child pays the same $50 ticket as an adult, so there is no child rate to hunt for. What changes with height is the ride list. The three big coasters, Blue Tornado, Oblivion The Black Hole and Raptor, all need 140 cm, and many family rides ask for 100 to 110 cm with an adult alongside.

Check the Gardaland ride heights before you book, because a child just under 140 cm loses the headline coasters.

Fix the Date Before You Pay

The day ticket is dated, so the calendar is part of the purchase. Get the date wrong and the ticket is wasted.

The calendar below shows the seasonal openings and event periods that matter for a dated ticket. Read it alongside the hours for your chosen day, because opening times shift between the main season, the Halloween events and the winter opening. Once the date is set, book the 1-day entry ticket and keep the confirmation handy at the gates.

The Closed Weeks and the Winter Opening

The park lists no opening dates between 2 November and 4 December. Do not book a day ticket in that window, because there is nothing to enter. The season restarts with Supermagic, a magic show running 4 to 8 December, and Magic Winter follows from 5 December to 6 January, when the park adds LEGO Miniland and an aquarium visit the same or next day.

Daily hours change through these periods, so the park app is the reliable source on the morning you go.

Gardaland Express Fast Track, Tier by Tier

Express is a separate purchase on top of entry, sold by the park itself. Three tiers cover different appetites for queuing.

The table below sets out the three tiers. Give Me 5 gives one ride on 5 chosen attractions at $30.16 (€27) online or $33.52 (€30) at park kiosks. Epic 17 covers one ride on each of 17 attractions including Raptor and Colorado Boat at $63.68 (€57) online or $67.03 (€60) in the park.

No Limits makes those 17 unlimited at $97.20 (€87) online or $100.55 (€90) at kiosks. Every tier includes 20% off in park shops.

How the App Queue Works

Express is app-based. Buy online or at the Express points in the Medieval, Mammoth, West and Jumanji areas, then scan your voucher into the Gardaland Express app. Book a turn for a ride, and the app notifies you when it is roughly 5 minutes away.

Tap your phone on the turnstile and ride. Daily availability is limited, so buy early on a busy day. The pass is personal and non-refundable, valid only on the visit day.

Express bought online must be used by 1 November.

On the Day: Gates, Parking and Shuttle

The park sits at Castelnuovo del Garda, just inland from the south-east shore. Trains, cars and dogs all have their own rules.

Arriving by Train

The park is 2 km from Peschiera del Garda station, and a free round-trip shuttle runs every 30 minutes. The first shuttle leaves 30 minutes before the park opens and the last leaves the park 30 minutes after closing. Trenord sells train and park entry in one combined ticket, which is worth pricing against separate tickets.

Stay in Peschiera del Garda and the shuttle is your whole commute. The town itself grew up around the Venetian fortress where the Mincio leaves the lake, so the walk from the station to the old walls fills the evening after the park.

Arriving by Car

The main car park on Via Derna is free and opens one hour before the park. Covered spaces are sold separately online with limited daily numbers, so book ahead in summer if shade matters to you. Motorhomes use the bus park on Via Ronchi, with no overnight parking after closing.

Drivers come off the A4 at Peschiera del Garda from Milan or Sommacampagna from Venice. No car? See our car rental page.

Inside the Gates

Ticket offices close 2 hours before the park does, so arrive earlier than that if you plan to buy at the gate. A hand stamp lets you leave and return the same day. Paid luggage storage sits at the Welcome and West offices, with no food or drink allowed inside the bags.

Leashed dogs are welcome but stay off rides, shows, SEA LIFE and the water park. Easy Shopping purchases are delivered to the Adventure Store in the car park for collection from 4.30 pm.

Is the Ticket Worth It for Your Group

Value depends on heights, dates and how much of the lake you want to see.

The $50 day ticket earns its price for groups with riders at 140 cm or taller, since the big coasters and the themed areas fill a full day easily. Families staying two days stretch the value further by adding the open-date aquarium ticket on the rest day at $10. If your children sit under 110 cm, or you would rather be on the water, spend the day differently: a Sirmione boat trip or the Movieland film park, where the Hollywood VIP experience at $148.24 includes admission and free cancellation up to 24 hours, may fit better.

Do This, Not That

Do

  • Pick the exact date before paying, because the day ticket works only on the booked date.
  • Measure your children at home against the 90 cm free line and the 140 cm coaster limit.
  • Take the free shuttle from Peschiera del Garda station if you arrive by train, every 30 minutes.
  • Add the $10 open-date aquarium ticket for a second, weather-proof half day nearby.
  • Get the hand stamp at the turnstiles so you can leave for lunch and come back in.

Don't

  • Do not book a park day between 2 November and 4 December, when the park is closed.
  • Do not expect a refund for rain, closed rides or a change of plans on the day ticket.
  • Do not rely on walk-up tickets late in the day, since ticket offices close 2 hours before closing.
  • Do not bring food in stored bags, because luggage storage takes no food or drink.
  • Do not plan dog walks onto rides, shows, SEA LIFE or the water park.

Where the Ticket Takes You

The park sits minutes from the south-east shore, so a park day pairs well with lake time.

Movieland

Lake Garda with Kids

Our Lake Garda with kids plan fits the park day into a wider week, mixing beaches, ferries and easy sights with the rides. It helps you balance thrill days against quieter ones, which matters once young children have spent six hours on rollercoasters in the sun.

Peschiera del Garda

Peschiera del Garda is the walled town at the Mincio outflow, 2 km from the park gates and the shuttle's home station. A night here puts you on the first shuttle of the morning, and in season the ferries leave from the town for the rest of the lake.

Gardaland Tickets: Questions

How much is entry to Gardaland?

The one-day entry ticket costs $50 per person, with all taxes and fees included. Every other ticket on the lake is on the tickets page. It covers every ride and show in the park as many times as you wish for that day. Children under 90 cm tall and dependent disabled visitors enter free without a ticket. The park also sells evening and two-day tickets on its own site if one day is not enough.

Is Gardaland worth it?

For groups with riders at 140 cm or taller, easily. The park carries more than 40 attractions and the big coasters justify a full day on their own. For toddlers or visitors who prefer the lake, a shorter aquarium visit or a boat day may suit better. Read our full Gardaland review before deciding, since it covers the rides and height limits ride by ride.

Are there 2 for 1 tickets?

No 2-for-1 deal is sold with our ticket. The offset for young families is that children under 90 cm tall enter the park free, so toddlers cost nothing anyway. Gardaland runs its own promotions on the offers page of its website, including seasonal hotel packages, so check there if you want a discount. Our tickets page keeps the straightforward dated entry.

Do you need to buy tickets in advance?

Buying ahead is the safer play in high season. Our day ticket is fixed date and non-refundable, so book once your travel day is certain. Gate ticket offices close 2 hours before the park does, so a late arrival can leave you without a sale. Online prices run lower than walk-up prices for every ticket type the park sells, which is a second reason to book ahead.

Is the Express fast track worth buying?

It depends on the day and your patience. Give Me 5 costs $30.16 (€27) online, Epic 17 is $63.68 (€57) and No Limits is $97.20 (€87), all on top of entry. On a busy summer day, No Limits saves hours across 17 rides including Raptor and Colorado Boat. Midweek in low season, most visitors skip it. Availability is limited daily and the pass is personal and non-refundable.

Can I cancel?

Not on the Gardaland tickets sold here. Both the park day ticket and the aquarium ticket are non-refundable, and the park one is locked to the booked date with no refund for rain either. The one flexible buy is the Movieland Hollywood VIP experience, which offers free cancellation up to 24 hours before. Choose carefully when your weather forecast is unsettled.

Does the ticket include the aquarium?

The park day ticket does not. The SEA LIFE Aquarium is a separate $10 open-date ticket, reached on foot from the park, with 40 themed pools and an underwater tunnel. The park's own two-day ticket bundles one aquarium visit within 6 days, and Magic Winter dates include it too. If you want both in one day, buy the two tickets here and walk between them.

Book Your Dated Park Ticket

The 1-day entry ticket costs $50 per person and covers every ride and show on your chosen date. It is non-refundable and valid only on the booked day, so pick the date with care.
